The Living Environment Regents Exam is a cumulative standardized exam focusing on high school Biology topics. Since this exam focuses on intricate details pertaining to, but not limited to, evolution, mitosis, and meiosis, students can become overwhelmed when attempting to learn these intricacies independently. We will not only break down these specific topics for easier absorption of material but will also be able to convey the required material to a student in a way that is easiest to understand.
Some students may prepare for the Living Environment Regents Exam with the help of a self-test preparation book. However, these study guides do not provide the personal feedback and assistance that students need when they do not understand a certain a topic. We can address specific academic obstacles students may have by catering to a student’s unique learning style.
Some students may have difficulty remembering material from the beginning of the Living Environment class, hindering their progress when preparing for this standardized exam. We will be able to reteach students the necessary material in the most efficient and effective way, allowing students to continually move forward with more confidence on current topics.

The Chemistry Regents Exam is a very important standardized exam to master due to its academic importance. Rather than attempt to master these important topics alone, students would benefit exponentially with the guidance and instruction of an experienced Chemistry Regents tutor.
In addition to producing the best learning environment for a student, we will be able to identify and address if a student has had a prior academic issue, whether it originated from Algebra or an earlier topic in their Chemistry course. This is of vital importance to address these obstacles, as this is the only way a student can truly progress and understand future Chemistry topics, ultimately leaving the student with the most comprehensive knowledge needed to excel on the Chemistry Regents Exam.
Students can feel confident knowing that we can completely customize the lesson plans based on a student’s unique learning style, promoting the most effective, and efficient learning method. This engaging environment will naturally promote willingness and motivation to master the course material while instilling the necessary confidence needed to succeed on the Chemistry Regents Exam.

The AP® Biology course is designed to be the equivalent of a college-level introductory biology course. The intent of the course is to expose students to higher-level biological principles, concepts, and skills and allow them to apply their knowledge to real-life applications. Students are also expected to learn not by memorization of facts but through content and concept application via the AP® Biology science practices.
Core concepts called “Big Ideas” and their application through science practices are the basis of the AP ® Biology curriculum.
These Big Ideas are
1. The process of evolution drives the unity and diversity of life.
2. Biological systems utilize free energy and molecular building blocks to grow, to reproduce, and to maintain dynamic homeostasis.
3. Living systems store, retrieve, transmit, and respond to information essential to life processes.
4. Biological systems interact, and these systems and their interactions possess

The AP® Chemistry course is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during the first year of college. Students will obtain an understanding of chemistry foundations to support additional learning in chemistry.
This course will develop critical thinking skills and the ability to express ideas and understandings clearly. Students will need to complete work outside of class. For details regarding course objectives and units, please refer to the AP® Chemistry Course Description.
